Today was a lovely day at Emily's.  Steve and Pat brought her a weeping cherry tree, so Liga and Patrick got that planted for her in the front yard.

There was lots of package wrapping, running out to the store for last minute purchases, and general goodwill all day long.  Lynn came down in the afternoon and helped Pat learn to make a Honey Nut Stollen, her favorite of the Christmas breads that Lynn makes.  Pat did a great job and says she's ready to try it on her own now.

Alan came down for an informal dinner.  Afterwards there was a very fast paced card game called Nertz going on around the family room table! They had two teams going - apparently Meredith plays this at school fairly often.  There was a call to play again tomorrow!

By the way, the Stollen didn't even get completely cooled before it got cut and sampled.  It was so good....Pat did a great job on it!

Emily and Steve's family went to the 10:00 evening service at First Cumberland Presbyterian, then home to get some sleep before tomorrow.
