Today Emily finished getting her car registration and licensing finished up. Yesterday she got her emissions testing done and passed with no problem. So today she got together all her paperwork and went up to the licensing office and got her car registered. She decided that she wanted to keep the tag that she got when they first moved to Tennessee, and they allowed her to do that. She was pleased to get it all done.
This afternoon Joyce drove down to spend the night. The plans are for the two of them to work in the yard and flower and vegetable gardens tomorrow. Tonight was a Thanksgiving Dinner at Cumberland Presbyterian. Alan, Lynn, and Joyce were Emily's guests. They had a lovely traditional Thanksgiving feast -- turkey and dressing with gravy, mashed potatoes, and green beans. They also had a really interesting dessert. It was a heavy cake with pecans baked together with a pumpkin pie topping - and then a big dollop of whipped cream on top.
She will enjoy having Joyce there to visit with and help out around the place. It will be good for them both.
